Happy Halloween from Kuhrang!!

Spooky Dooky October is here and we have our candy and decorations out at the Library so for linden's sake c'mon down and trick or treat and pick up a few of our new additions to the library.
Thanks to some very Dilligent new members we have a number of new books on the shelves and I am very, very pleased. With the addition of such classics as Ivanhoe, The Iliad and Plato's Republic we move ever closer to the status of a very real and tangable online library. So special thanks to those who have donated and created books for us this month, without you there would be no library!! Keep up the great work!!
Your illustrious library founder also had the increadable luck of meeting one of the authors of the great horror book "Dobbit Do" that we have had on display for some weeks. If you have'nt read this yet I suggest you teleport over right now and get it imeadiatetly!! Its well worth the time and a great addition to any second life book collection!

Also the Third issue of "Orianne Osiris" has hit the stands. To save a few prims at the library I have placed these issues in a vendor. So you may have to spend the grand sum of one linden to get your back issues if you miss any of these exciting installments! Of course if your a member of the Continuum you will receive a free copy in your in world notices, which is just one more reason to join our group! Which, by the way, is and will remain free to do!
I have also created a new book which includes the collected works of "the Dreaming Foundation". With poems and collected thoughts from it's members it is a grand collections of thoughts and dreams from this group of talented artists and dreamers! Well worth picking up and reading and adding to your second life collection of literary art!
Also I suggest you bounce on over to Octoberville and try and catch up with me on the scavenger hunt!! There are great things to see and do and its a fun halloween game to enjoy with friends or that special someone!
To end this update I would also like to steer you toward an interesting blog I ran across this morning dealing with the online collection of books and data that of course concerns me as a proud online librarian. Its worth checking out and giving some thought to the future of information gathering and books in general!
And as a tiny footnote here I can't resist including this!
So HAPPY HALLOWEEN all and I will see you all at the library!!

So instead we will celebrate banned books weekend at the library. come on by and check out our display and get some info on banned and challenged books and what you can do to help us keep information free to all who seek it.
I am hard at work on November's issue of Orianne Osiris and i have a new plane parked outside Star's end for some upcoming scenes. thought you would like to see my new flight suit.^^
We also found a great place with a great ride thanks to the lovely danana....its called "zero point" and the numbers are something like (146,74,502) but c'mon by the library or im me for a landmark its a fun place to see.
So cmon by the library this weekend and do your little part at stopping censorship. also be sure to visit the ALA info island for more banned books info.

September events and a new graphic novel.....

Hello all,
September was a wild and tumultuous month at the Kuhrang Public Library.
.....but then facing the ups and downs together with friends is what second life and Star's End are all about.
We had a great party on the 15th and here are some photos to let you in on what you missed.

we had a nice crowd of dancers and fun.

the teddy bear dance and Eifa floats

Guest DJ Cago gets down on the dance floor and ur's truly floating by....the french tunes were astounding and the groove was right where it was supposed to be.

Some of the look of the library has changed as well, and those who have not visited recently will have a pleasant surprise when they arrive.

We would also like to announce a new addition to the shelves.
"Orianne Osiris" hit the shelves today at 9;30 pm.
A graphic novel set in kuhrang. It is a sure to be a hit item and worth checking out and coming down to get your copy of the first awesome issue.

Welcome to the first post for the Star's End Continuum. The library is growing little by little each day......

I have new books out for digital consumtion. The viking saga continues with "Gudrid and the fortune hunter" and there is a little bit of fropery with a new coffie table book..."pop culture witchery" was fun to make....I loved all the old visions of witches down through the years. of course everything at the kuhrang free library is free to copy if I am able to set it that way. we do have a few referance books that cant leave the library but you are always welcome to stay and read any you like. The collection grows as i can find them or pen them myself.
I have added a new lamp in the store as well as set one out on my desk. it has the same light script the rotating lamps had and the search continues for a script which, as kasey says, gives real light.

I also bought a new desk and edited a kool shot of my desktop for the texture on a freebie computer laptop.

The laptop is free to copy as well....u can take ur own desktop pic and place it in the screen....just drop it on the surface though or u will lose the kool gateway top cover....at two prims its cheap, wholesome fun.
I am looking forward to showcasing many nice products here as they become available. Also someone please stop by and have a tea with me.....anybody.....lol

^^till next time
smooches from rannytown:)
